The profile is presented under glass, in a gilded frame lined with red velvet. D : 23.5 x 21 cm (11x10cm for the profile) Félix Graillon is the son of Pierre-Adrien Graillon (1807-1872), a Dieppe artist rewarded for his talent with the Legion of Honor in 1847 by Napoleon III. Contrary to his father's trivial compositions, Félix and his brother perpetuated the reputation of the Dieppe workshop by favoring more romantic subjects.
