Wrought-iron sword with double-edged blade, slightly oblique guard with square cross-section, bronze pommel engraved on one side with a bust of a man and on the other with a winged animal, on a fretted background. Italy, circa 1300 - 1350 L. : 74 cm (erosion and missing parts) This sword is comparable with another one from the Burrell collection, Glasgow, circa 1300-1350 (inv 2,74), but also with the one from the Karsten Klingbeil collection, sale Pierre Bergé, Brussels, 13 December 2011, lot n°8.
