Pair of candelabra in patinated and gilded bronze, the shaft is flanked by three volutes, it carries a bouquet of six lights with gadrooned binnacles. Worked around 1860 in the Persian style. H. : 56.5cm Our model of candelabra recalls the work of the ornemanist Geoffroy-Dechaume (1816-1892), pupil of David d'Angers and Pradier. Inspired by orientalist motifs, and more specifically Persian ones in this case, he provided model drawings to goldsmiths such as Froment-Meurice and bronzeworkers such as Delafontaine.
