Hainaut ou Artois, XVIe siècle
Two oak panels carved in high relief and polychromed representing two shields, one in 1 and 4 gold with a cross pattée sable, in 2 sable with a lion crowned with gold (Brabant), and 3 purple with billets and a lion of gold; the other in 1 and 4 gold with a boar sable, in 2 and 3 quartered gold and sable (de Lens). Rich ornamentation composed of characters, birds, cut leathers, vases, scrolls and characters wrapped. H. : 18 cm - L. : 47 cm Provenance : Former collection Arnoult (Very slight lacks)
