COMMEMORATIVE CUP - Lot 378
COMMEMORATIVE CUP OF NICOLAS II'S CROWN. Korniloff, St. Petersburg, circa 1896. In glazed earthenware, kovch form, with polychrome decoration in relief, decorated in the center with the double-headed eagle of the Romanoffs on a red background surrounded by a Russian proverb written in Cyrillic characters. Slight wear to the gilding, but good general condition. H. : 4,5 cm - L. : 19,5 cm - W. : 12 cm. Reference: see a similar model, but with a variation in colors, illustrated in the book "Russian decorative arts" by Cynthia Coleman Sparke, published by Antiques collectors' club, 2014, page 212
