Very rare collar of man with flap, Flanders or Milan, spindles, 3rd quarter of the seventeenth century. A remarkable composition in beautiful symmetry of flexible branches and foliage in circumvolution and rising gracefully from the middle of the back to the bottom of the flaps with large flowers blooming, the petals decorated with various points whose variant of the snowflake worked in gradient of the tightest to the least tight bringing an illusion of depth, the stamens of the hearts worked in relief In light ivory linen. (very good condition, small part of the lace detached at the level of the neck) The lace part of the collar is sewn on a fine original linen, the collar type "officer" is a later reassembly. Dim. Width at the bottom of the flaps: 19 cm, Length of each of the flaps from the middle of the back to the bottom: 44 cm
