An 18th-century Vincennes porcelain oval snail or bourdaloue chamber pot About 1752, blue mark with two intertwined L's In the form of a shell, the handle in the form of a mauve and gold branch, with polychrome decoration of botanical flower bouquets and insects, gold fillet on the rim, restored, some wear L. 20.5 cm. Notes: This example, is certainly to be compared with the delivery made to the shop of sale of the manufacture in October 1752: sixteen pots of chamber to limaçon, flowers net of gold mediocre, 12 pounds (each).
