Set of 4 drawings, various sizes, Indian ink, colored pencil on paper, signed: Auscultation by telephone. Wait a minute, I'm doing my game. The doctor is ill. You will excuse us. Maurice Sauvayre began his career during the First World War, making a name for himself with satirical drawings on the theme of the poilu. He then contributed to many periodicals and in the 1930s was a member of the association called the Groupe Moderne, exhibiting in Paris at the Georges Petit Gallery (12, rue Godot-de-Mauroy) and the Dru Gallery (11, rue Montaigne).
