Important portico clock in white marble, standing on six feet, the rectangular base with cut sides decorated with a fleuron and philosopher profiles. Two women dressed in the antique style, in patinated bronze with symmetrical attitudes, strongly swaying, one arm lowered and the other raised supporting a triangular pediment in the centre of which the movement is placed. White enamelled dial with Roman numeral, signed A Paris, wire movement, regulator balance. H. : 68 cm Louis XVI period A similar example by Manière but resting on a griotte marble base formerly in the de Pauw collection, is attributed to Thomire.
