MÉGRET Christian, Éloge à la comtesse de Paris, autograph handwritten text signed by the author, dated 1954, 18 pages, gilt edges, period binding in red morocco, folio. Good condition. Bears the stamp "Succ. De Mgr. Le Cte. De Paris - Drouot 2000". Extract : "(...) It is a difficult job, an art job, even, that of the mother of a large family, and particularly if this family, both large and royal, is that of the Pretender to the throne of France. Balzac, in one of his novels, has a mother say "Our works are our children! (...) "We know that the Prince is usually labelled "left-wing", because he feels closer to a trade unionist than to an "ultra", like Charles X, as they still exist, so that he broke, in 1937, with Charles Maurras."
