ATELIER ROBERT PICHON
Elegant. Robert Pichon was the head of the "Ateliers de dessin et lithographie R. Pichon", in Paris. Among his works, one can observe a variety of themes characteristic of the Art Deco period, with motifs inspired by Fauvist colours, and subjects ranging from figuration (flora, fauna and classical mythology) to abstract geometric motifs. The studio was specialized in advertising graphics and R. Pichon, active in the years 1910-1940, worked for the Lorilleux printing company for which he created many models in the 1920s/1930s. Pichon also worked frequently for the magazine Caractère and mainly for special Christmas issues. Gouache on paper against glue. Around 1920. Work sold framed. Dimensions: 29x21 cm.
