Important collection of spindles, 19th and 20th century. Approximately one hundred and twenty turned wooden spindles - fruitwood, whitewood, painted wood, boxwood, etc... - for bobbin lace, from various countries or regions, including about twenty carved bobbins from Normandy, wooden bobbins and a dozen celluloid thread protectors from the Puy en Velay region, about ten bobbins from the Erzgebirge, four of which are for flat wire lace, and various English, Italian, Spanish, Finnish, Slovakian, Slovenian bobbins, etc.... (good condition for the whole) We enclose four spools and thirteen skeins of lace thread (good condition)
