Lacemaker's tile, Flanders ?, late 19th and early 20th century. Large square wooden tile or lacemaker's cushion covered with canvas, opening by lifting the upper part fixed to the back of the tile to hold the necessary spindles and tools. The turned wooden roller has a rare rack system; small door held by a wooden latch at the back. We enclose thirty-six large turned wooden spindles, thirty-two of which are in rosewood and four in light wood, eight large turned wooden spindles of another model, and a box of brass pins. (tile in good condition, canvas stained, spindles and pins in good condition)
