Provenance: - Possibly Bizet Sale, 21 May 1828, lot 10 ("Military tents are set up next to a farmhouse; canteen girls boil the soldier's pot, while he amuses himself by telling nonsense to other women. Rich in colour and composition" (quoted by F.
