NAPOLEON III]. Nice set of 60 satirical posters of the Second Empire, lithographs printed in Paris published as supplements in certain newspapers such as La Charge, Actualités, L'Éclipse, etc., and marketed by the publishers and booksellers of the time, including: Grognet, Duclaux, Madre, Claverie, Coulboeuf, A. Baylac, Lemaine, Beillet, Fraillery, H. Nérac, Talon, etc. Representing caricatures of the emperor Napoleon III, his wife the empress Eugénie and some political personalities of the time. Signed notably by Faustin (Faustin Betbeder (1847-1914)), Edmond Huet, Moloch, C. Herluison, etc. Paper prints around 1870-1871. An album containing 8 satirical lithographs, entitled Les Amoureux de Marianne illustrated by Charles Léandre and published by the Librairie Félix Juven in Paris, is included. Some folds and foxing, but good condition. Various formats.
