École française du XIXe siècle. Portrait of Désirée Clary, Queen of Sweden (1774-1860). Unsigned graphite drawing, preserved in its period natural wood frame with black fillet decoration from the house of Ange Ottoz in Paris. The bottom of the drawing bears the stamp in red ink of the sale of the Andrieux collection and on the back of the frame is a label bearing the inscription "Vente de Mr le Cte Clary". Traces of humidity. Damage to the frame. Sight: H.: 27 cm - W.: 19 cm. Frame: H.: 50 cm - W.: 42.5 cm. History: on this work, Désirée Clary is then princess of Ponte-Corvo. Provenance: former collection of Count Clary, then of (Georges) Andrieux (1940), as evidenced by the presence of the stamp This work was presented as part of the exhibition dedicated to the bicentenary of the siege of Bayonne, at the Basque Museum in Bayonne, in 2014.
