Saint Hubert and Prince Philippe d'Orléans. Lead pencil drawing, identified at the bottom of the document: "the Duke of Orleans, 1882, detail of the Saint Hubert by Paul Baudry, Chantilly". Preserved in a giltwood frame surmounted by the arms of the Count of Chambord under a royal crown, surrounded by lily branches. With easel foot on the back. Time wear, but good general condition. Sight: H.: 18.5 cm - W.: 10.5 cm. Frame: H.: 35.5 cm - W.: 19.5 cm. Reference: this drawing is a detail of the painting The Vision of Saint Hubert by Paul-Jacques-Aimé Baudry (1828-1886), for the decoration of the fireplace of the Galerie des Cerfs, used as a dining room by the Duc d'Aumale in his castle of Chantilly. The artist depicts Prince Philippe d'Orléans (1869-1926), the future Duke of Orléans and nephew of the Duc d'Aumale, in the young boy's features.
