A silver plate, from the table service of the Duke of Orleans. Engraved on the top of the rim with the arms of the House of Orleans under a crown of prince of the blood and applied on a background of flags, bordered by a frieze of finely chased palmettes. Wear of the time, but good general condition. Title mark: 1st cock, Paris, 1798-1809. Goldsmith's mark: G J clé (probably Guillaume Julien). Diameter : 23 cm. Weight: 421 g. History: this coat of arms is that of Louis-Philippe, future king of the French, then duke of Orleans (1773-1850).
