Agnès, sentimental opera in two acts, music by Ferdinand Paër, for pianoforte dedicated to the author by Ferdinand Simonis, Parma December 28, 1812, printed in Paris, by Janet et Cotelle, volume in-folio (340x270 mm), 315 pages gilt on the edges, fine period binding in red morocco, stamped in the centre of each plate with the alliance arms of the duchess of Berry, on the left the shield of Artois (azure with three fleur-de-lis embattled gules), on the right the shield quartered of the Two Sicilies surmounted by a crown of sons of France and surrounded by an olive branch and a branch of lily proper gold. The outer border is framed by a double stylized frieze gilt with small irons, smooth spine decorated with gilt fleurons and lyres, title in gold letters and numbered at the head of volume C. 13. Text in French. Spine unstained, time wear, foxing.
