Bordering and engaging, Burano, needle, Italy, 2nd half of the 18th century. A Burano engagementante circa 1750-70 with a decoration of flowery branches close to Venetian lace, cream-coloured linen, Dim. 1,70 m x 5,5 cm at the widest (a few holes scattered in the network) and three borders, one of which circa 1770-80 of an extreme fineness of workmanship imitating to perfection the Alençon laces of this period, dark ivory coloured linen, Dim. 2 m x 6,5 cm (good general condition, a few fine repeats or small holes, dusty) and two around 1780-1800 with repeated motifs of flowers or cartouches on the border, light ivory linen, 60 cm x 8,5 cm and 55 cm x 8,5 cm (good general condition)
