"L'Occidentale", circa 1910 Folded fan, fontange shape, the skin sheet stenciled with a woman smelling the perfume of a rose extracted from a composition, in front of the setting sun on the sea. Signed on the right "Paul Iribe pinxt". Mention on the left "Edited by Paquin, Paris". The costumes in the taste of Bakst for the Russian ballets. Emerald green silk reverse. Blue-green dyed synthetic material frame. H.t. 31,5 cm-H.f. 23 cm (very good condition, very slight accident on the leaf) In its original case covered with green leather. Gilded address : "Paquin /3 rue de la Paix/ Paris". NB. The preparatory drawings for Paquin's fans are reproduced in the book "L'éventail et la fourrure chez Paquin 1911", illustrated by Georges Lepape, George Barbier and Paul Iribe, published by Maquet in 1911.
