The Oracle, The Game of Love and Chance, circa 1900 Folded fan, the cream silk sheet painted in the 18th century taste. Under the title "L'oracle", two lovers stand on top of a compartmentalized and numbered wheel. Ten labels on the sides list the names of the gods of mythology preceded by a number. A last cartouche asks "Questions". On the reverse, printed on paper, the answers under the aegis of the gods. A carved bone arrow is held to the fan by a green silk ribbon. Mounted in carved, engraved and gilded bone in the taste of the 1780s. H.t. 29 cm-H.f. 13,8 cm (good condition)
