Thinking of Grapes, ca. 1880 Folded fan, skin-lined paper sheet, painted with a child hiding behind the skirt of a peasant woman to better observe the lovers by the roadside. The couple is borrowed from Watteau's "Pensent-ils au raisin? Signed on the right, in red, "Lasellaz". Reverse side: frieze of forget-me-nots. White mother-of-pearl mounting, engraved and gilded. H.t. 27 cm / H.f. 13,5 cm (good condition, wear to folds, rest. to plumes)
