Micro-mosaic effects, circa 1830 Folded fan, the double sheet in engraved paper, and painted with gouache, of a couple in neo-gothic clothes, he wearing a tartan printed garment probably referring to the exile of the Duke of Bordeaux and his sister in Scotland. On the reverse side, two young women in a garden of ruins, in the troubadour taste. White mother-of-pearl mounting. The gilded brass plumes chiselled with scrolls, each adorned at the top with a glass medallion in imitation of micro-mosaic. H.t. 22 cm H.f. 12,2 cm (cuts in the leaf) See illustrations on this page
