Chinese lacquer, circa 1750 - Lot 99
Chinese lacquer, circa 1750 Folded fan, the leaf in skin, mounted in English style and painted with gouache of Flora in a garden, crowned by her nymphs. On the border, ten lovers keep her company. Reverse side painted with a flying love in a vast country landscape. Ivory frame* finely pierced with scrolls bordering cartels with Chinese subjects. The motifs are underlined by translucent plates of colors (pink, purple, yellow and blue). The green painted plumes are decorated with a bird among bamboo canes and white cherry blossoms in relief. H.t. 30 cm-H.f. 14,2 cm (important wear of the leaf, small lacks to the mounting)
