Set of eight B&W photographic portraits of several personalities of Russian political life on file and observed by the Tsarist secret police. On the reverse side of each document appear handwritten inscriptions with autograph signatures of the characters depicted. Including Isaac Yurevitch Khaldey, living in Baku, with his autograph signature [certified by a bailiff in his presence - 1915]; Elia Zhershevenev, living in Kirsanov with his autograph signature [certified by a policeman in his presence - 27 July 1915]; Tsypkin Israel Leyzer-Voulfovithc, with his autograph signature [certified by two policemen in his presence - 18 June 1916]; Elie Yossifovitch Vaynshtok with his autograph signature [certified by a policeman in his presence - 17 August 1912]; Vassily Abramovich, living in Sizragne with his autograph signature [certified by a policeman in his presence - 20 June 1912]; Isac Yoyrnovich Khaldey, living in Baku with his autograph signature [certified by a policeman in his presence - 17 June 1915]; Jacques Povolotsky (1881- 1945), with his autograph signature [certified by a police officer in his presence - 18 August 1914]; Eitingon Nahum Isakovitch [certified by a police officer in his presence - 1909]. Business card size. Enclosed is a book entitled "Tche-Ka", translated from Russian by E. Pierrepont, edited by Jacques Povolozky, Paris, 1920.
