ROMANOVSKY, Prince Serge Georgievich, 8th... - Lot 397 - Coutau-Bégarie
ROMANOVSKY, Prince Serge Georgievich, 8th Duke of Leuchtenberg (1890-1974). Autograph letter signed "Prince Serge Romanovsky", Antibes, dated November 23, 1932, addressed to Colonel Andrianoff, 1 page, folio, text in Russian. Folds, freckles. Translation: "I cordially congratulate you with all my heart and all my dear Cossacks for the feast of your regiment. May God give you, in this foreign land, the strength to spend this day together in the shadow of your native Standart and to come even closer together in unity of spirit, so necessary for all of us in the struggle for Russia and for all Russians living abroad. I very much regret that circumstances have deprived me of the opportunity to be with you and to express my attachment personally. I firmly believe in his imperial greatness and that we will see our glorious regiment on the Russian field, on his horses to serve Russia and the Czar."
