Typed letter signed "Prince Nikita Alexandrovich" and countersigned by Professor "M. Pavlovich", Belgrade, April 25, 1936, in-folio, on the letterhead of the President of the Union of Officers of the Cossack Regiment, General K. U. Grekoff. Text in Russian. With handwritten annotations on the reverse. Good general condition. Translation: "On the occasion of the publication of the "History of the Reign of Emperor Nicholas II", the committee considers it the last duty of our generation to pay tribute to the martyred tsar of power to publish it. Two thirds of the work written by His Holiness Oldenburg is already ready and the author undertakes to finish his work quickly. The committee is concerned about the lack of means so that this work can see the light of day". - Dear Nicholas Ivanovich, according to the letter from K. U. Grekoff sent to all of us, the convocation states: 1: The President of the Association declares that the general meeting of former Cossack officers will be held on October 4 at 3 p.m. at the same time as the Regiment's feast day. 2: By September 25th, all members must pay their contribution of 3 francs to the treasurer of the Committee for the edition of "The History of the Reign of Nicholas II", presided over by Prince Nikita Alexandrovich of Russia."
