MIKHAÏLOFF Alexandre Mikhaïlovitch (1870- 1934), général-major de l'armée impériale de Russie, conseillé militaire de l'armée blanche
Autograph letter signed "A. Mikhailof", Belgrade, June 24, 1924, addressed to Prince Serge Georgievich Romanovsky, 8th Duke of Leuchtenberg (1890-1974), 4 pages, in-4°, text in Russian. Good condition. Translation: "Your Highness, I knew that General Romanovsky [George (Uriy) Dmitrievitch (1877-1939)] sent you the banner with the indications of our union and the correspondence with the General Staff of Karlov, but alas this was not done since the General first planned to visit you in Milan. Without carrying out this plan, he wanted to give this package to Dondoukoff-Iziedinioff [Major General], but the latter changed the dates of his departure to Paris/that is why now I have decided to send you this package by mail. General Romanovsky in mid-July will leave for Bulgaria for one month to work in the bank in Belgrade. It would be necessary to find quickly some means for his trip. We await with great interest the encouraging news from Your Highness despite the present unfavorable situation to our common goal."
