MARIE-AMÉLIE, reine de Portugal, née princesse d'Orléans (1865-1951)
Set of 7 L.A.S. and C.A.S.: "Amélie", addressed to Countess Xavier Villeneuve-Bargemont, née Yvonne Laffleur de Kermaingant (1873-1967), lady-in-waiting of the Duchess of Guise, dating from 1922 to 1946, various formats, most of them on letterheads decorated with a royal crown and the Château de Bellevue. Text in French, 14 pages. Text: - 24.1.22: "Yes, it is an immense emptiness that the disappearance of my dear Tiguiero leaves in my life and I still cannot believe that God has reminded him of this friend, who had sacrificed everything to his absolute devotion. Courtesan of Misfortune! They are rare, and one never takes comfort in their loss." - Bellevue Castle, 28.11.22: "In less than a year God has reminded him of two of my dearest, most devoted and faithful Friends, and their loss leaves in my heart a new inconsolable Pain, in my life a void that nothing can ever fill." - 31.12.46: "Your faithful thought has come to me, it has brought me your wishes, which I see sincere and true. So I would like to thank you very quickly, saying to you, in my turn, with all my heart that I would like for you for poor France fewer "catastrophes" than some people fear! God will help you!"
