*Folded fan with 13 strands (missing), commemorating the marriage of Emperor Peter I of Brazil (1798-1834) with his second wife, Princess Amelie of Leuchtenberg (1812-1873), celebrated on May 30, 1829. Decorated with polychrome portraits of the couple and their coats of arms under an imperial crown, surmounted by a large garland of flowers wrapped in ribbons on a gold background. Mother-of-pearl frame. Part of the frame is missing, worn, as is. Most probably Brazilian work from the mid-19th century. H.: 24 cm - W.: 38 cm.
