LARGE HARD PORCELAIN MEDALLION FROM THE RIHOUET FACTORY IN PARIS. Oval in shape, decorated with a polychrome portrait signed on the left Sophie Liénard (active 1842 - after 1860), representing Prince Ferdinand-Philippe, Duke of Orléans (1810-1842), bearing the plaque of the Order of the Legion of Honour and the insignia of the Order of Leopold. Preserved in its original gilded bronze frame with chiselled decoration of a frieze of leafy arabesques. Very good general condition, wear and tear to the frame. Mark on the reverse in red letters "Rihouet Ft de porcelaine, 7 rue de la Paix Paris", mid 19th century. On view: H.: 14 cm - L.: 11 cm. Frame: H.: 21 cm - L.: 18 cm.
