MINIATURE REPLICA OF THE MONUMENT OF THE ROYAL SQUARE OF REIMS. Bronze statue representing Louis XV, wearing a Caesar's cap, resting on an alabaster base decorated on one side with a coat of arms of the French Armed Forces and on the other side with the coat of arms of the city of Reims. The central column bears the inscription "Monument de la place royale de Reims" and on the reverse side the inscription "Sculpted, melted, chiselled by Braquehaye, the eldest son". Accidents, missing, as is. French work, 19th century. H.: 30 cm - L.: 16 cm. History: interesting historical representation of this statue as it was damaged during the French Revolution. It was replaced in 1818 by another version made in bronze by Pierre Cartellier.
