Entretiens spirituels..., Charles Douniol, Paris, 1859, 303 pages, moiré on the edges, in-8°, half-binding in sorrow with corners, spine with nerves, title in gold letters and monogram of the queen M.A. (Marie-Amélie) under crown on the lower spine. First edition, with autograph annotations signed by the Sovereign on the first page: "Remembrance of deep gratitude for the good you have done to my soul by reading this book, Marie Amélie, Claremont, September 21, 1865". Worn out over time, but good condition. History: this book is very probably one of the last bedside books of Queen Marie Amélie who died the following year. Some pages have been ticked in pencil by the sovereign.
