Rare Point d'Eeckent border, needle, Belgium, circa 1900-1905. In very fine Eeckent Stitch made with a needle by the Minne-Dansaert House in Haeltert, of which a fan with an identical decoration was presented at the International Lace Fair in Liege in 1905. Elegant decoration of branches with well-veined leaves adorned with various dots and inflorescences in the form of stylised snowballs, the buds and hearts of the flowers worked in relief. Well-ventilated decoration with pimpled flanges and a network of large irregular twisted wire meshes. Dim. 70 cm + 70 cm = 1,40 m x 12,5 cm (good condition, two pale spots) A very rare deep border of Belgian Point d'Eeckent handmade needle lace dating from about 1900-1905, from the Minne-Dansaert factory located at Haeltert, with a good floral design worked in various stitches Dim. 70 cm + 70 cm = 1,40 m x 12,5 cm (good condition, two pale stains) A fan with identical design was presented by the manufactory Minne-Dansaert at the International Lace Show in Liège in 1905.
