Needlepoint tie in Alençon, 2nd half of the 19th century. Elegant decoration of a frieze of flowers ending with two bouquets at each end, tulips, chrysanthemums, various foliage and falling fruit, border frieze with small bouquets in abseiling and medallions decorated with fashion, simple network of Alençon. Unbleached cotton, horsehair on the border and on some patterns. (small holes scattered across the grid)
