Folded fan, application of Brussels, Duvelleroy, circa 1880-90. The lace leaf with elegant floral decoration in mirror, in the center a bouquet of flowers and two large flexible leaves in fine bobbin lace applied on a tulle, lanceolate leaves and roses in needle lace, on either side a sheaf of carnations in needle and ears of wheat in bobbins. Cream-coloured cotton. (very nice condition). Goldfish mother-of-pearl mount and arrows, metal belly, trimming pompom. (very nice condition) Frame height: 29 cm. Leaf height: 15 cm. In a box covered with burgundy leather, marked in gold under the lid "DUVELLEROY, PARIS, 17 passage des Panoramas - NICE, Avenue de la Gare" and M.P.L. on the lid. Provenance: Drouot, Paris, May 1991.
