Table service with a rare fishing scene, tablecloth and ten napkins, 2nd half of the 19th century. Banquet tablecloth and its eighteen napkins in a beautiful linen damask pattern with a rare lake fishing scene. In the centre, a young person sits on the shore of a patient lake with a fishing rod in hand. At his side a young man kneeling holds a fish towards the raised apron of another young woman while a standing man raises a large net in the air. A wide border decorated with various scenes of fishermen at work, some on a boat, others on the shore, and a group of men, women and children eating their meal around a cauldron on the fire. Willows, reeds, rushes, water lilies, ducks and water hens, large hanging fishing net, pike, carp, perch and eels on the ground complete the décor. CH number embroidered in red and white. (good condition) Tablecloth size 2.80 m x 2.10 m. Dim. towels 92 cm x 77 cm.
