GOLD TABLE PENDULET. By FABERGÉ, St. Petersburg, before 1896. Square in shape, decorated on the main face with a translucent red enamelled plate on a guilloché background of undulating waves, applied with a finely chased laurel leaf garland in matt yellow gold with crossed ribbons in rose gold, held by ribboned bows in rose gold set in the centre with a small pearl. The whole is surrounded by a circular frieze enamelled in opaque white on a rose gold background with crossed ribbons set with diamond roses and adorned at each corner with arabesques in matt gold set in the centre with a diamond. The central part shows a white enamelled dial with black Arabic numerals and openworked gold hands, surrounded by diamond roses. The main border is decorated with a band of fine yellow gold fluting and rose gold foliage. On the reverse side, a wooden plate with a vermeil openwork foot. Small accident to the enamel on the upper part, but good condition. The mechanism is probably not original. Title mark: 56, St. Petersburg, before 1896. Title mark for the bridge foot: 88, St. Petersburg, before 1896. Master silversmith's mark: Mikhaïl Perkhine (1860-1903). Goldsmith's hallmark: Fabergé. H.: 12 cm - L.: 12 cm. Gross weight: 512 g.
