THOR,THE ETERNAL SAGA Thor, volume 1, number 285, page published by Marvel Comics in July 1979. India ink on paper. Drawing by John Buscema, inking by Chic Stone on a scenario by Roy Thomas for this plate where we find the superhero Thor, accompanied by Karkas, and Circe revealing himself to him in the first box and changing a cat statue by "deviant", clan of historical enemies of the eternal. John Buscema, known as "Big John", a Marvel star cartoonist discovered by Stan Lee in the 70s, has an extremely energetic graphic style that he exploited in many series such as The Avengers, The Silver Surfer, Thor or Conan the Barbarian. An admirer of Kirby, he had a taste for mythological and heroic fantasy subjects, such as the story of Thor and the Kingdom of Argard. His fast and precise style and his dynamic inks make him one of the great masters of the golden age of the comic book industry. Included frame size: 49 x 36.5 cm.
