CHAILLET, Gilles (1946-2011)
VASCO AND LEFRANC ASSEMBLY OF THE ENLUMINATORS, IN CHAUMONT, IN 1352 (The cartoonists of the Journal Tintin). Indian ink for an illustration made for a numbered silkscreen and a series of posters published during a comic book fair in Chaumont. Signed and dated 1990. In addition to the presence of his fetish characters of Vasco, Lefranc and Borg, one can recognize a significant number of cartoonists of the Journal de Tintin that Gilles Chaillet frequently rubbed shoulders with. With the author himself, Jacques Martin, Ferry, Edouard Aidans, Cosey, Dany, Greg, Yves Sente, Derib, Hermann, Christian Gine, Didier Convard. Jean Pleyers, Daniel Bardet, François Dermaut, Jean Graton (?) and bottom right: Christophe Simon. If the great majority of the authors represented were part of the Journal Tintin, it should be noted that this famous magazine had disappeared shortly before. Dimensions: 30 x 38 cm.
