The Triumph of the Dawn, ca. 1770-1780 Folded fan, souvenir of the "Grand Tour", the double cabretille leaf painted in the main cartel after the Guido Reni fresco, "The Triumph of the Dawn" for the Palazzo Pallavicini Rospigliosi in Rome. On the sides, grotesques inspired by the decorations of Pompeii and Herculaneum newly discovered. In the side medallions, on the left, the doves near a box from which an arrow is escaping, and on the right, the famous representation of the doves known as Pliny's. The reverse side painted with butterflies. Bone frame, engraved and silvered with foliage decoration. H.t. 27,8 cm - H.f. 13 cm (wear, restorations) In a gilded wood frame. Modern.
