Pair of candelabra in patinated and gilded bronze, the candelabra was accosted with three volutes, it carries a bouquet of six lights with gadrooned binets. Work circa 1860 in the Persian style. H.: 56.5 cm. Our model of candelabra recalls the work of the ornamentalist Geoffroy-Dechaume (1816-1892), a pupil of David d'Angers and Pradier. Inspired by orientalist motifs, and more precisely here Persian, he provided designs for goldsmiths such as Froment-Meurice as well as for bronze-smiths such as Delafontaine. He participated in the elaboration of the especially of the Duke of Orleans alongside Barye.
