Oil on metal miniature. 19th century. Sight oval 5,2 x 3 cm. Gilded brass hoop black frame (slit) edged with gilded metal from the house Jullien to the Chaussée d'Antin (its label on the reverse side with a wax seal remnant), oval 9 x 6,5 cm. This portrait of Murat wearing the scarf and star of the Order of the Legion of Honour was a success. Isabey himself made several copies on ivory, one in the Wallace collection in London and another in the collection of Marshal Berthier Prince de Wagram (Sotheby's, 29 April 2014, No. 319).
