Woman with three-quarter body on the left, in white dress and red shawl, tiara in her hair Miniature on ivory from the beginning of the 19th century, Empire period, signed on the left: Legrand / Painter Oval view 7,2 x 5,6 cm, in an oval red morocco case 8,5 x 7,1 cm. Gross weight: 49,25 gr. Legrand was a pupil of Descamp in Rouen and then of David in Paris. He exhibited at the Paris Salon from 1796 to 1814. His miniatures are rare.
