18th century Meissen porcelain soup plate / terrine tray. Circa 1725-30, blue markings with two crossed swords. With polychrome and gold decoration, in the centre of a medallion with stylised flowers and foliage radiating on a red background, surrounded by a wide gold and lustrous ironwork frieze with squares, the wing decorated with chinoiseries in Höroldt-style landscapes, in four lustrous and gold rocky reserves interspersed with friezes of arabesques with flower heads, gold filet on the edge, the reverse side decorated with Indianische Blumen and insects in flight small gashes at the heels, small wears.
