18th century Meissen porcelain dish. Circa 1725-30, blue mark with two crossed swords. with polychrome and gold decoration, in the centre of a medallion with stylized flowers and radiant foliage known as "Salami", surrounded by a large frieze of gold and lustrous ironwork with circles and mantling, the wing with decoration of chinoiseries in Höroldt-style landscapes, in three glossy and gold-coloured rock gardens interspersed with arabesque friezes with fruit vases, the reverse side decorated with Indianische Blümen, small gashes at the heel, very small wears. D. 30 cm. Dishes meet much more rarely than plates.
