HERGÉ (Georges Remi, dit.1907-1983)
TINTIN. THE 1945 ARMISTICE IN TRIBUTE TO JEAN LIBERT. Ink and watercolour drawing on paper, signed and accompanied by a long dedication to Annie Libert by Hergé, dated May 10, 1945. Direct-colour illustration, executed in the context of the day after the Armistice was signed on the night of 8-9 May 1945. Dimensions: 19x12.7 cm. Beside them are Hergé himself holding a pencil, as well as the portraits of his friends and collaborators Jacques Van Melkebeke and Edgar P. Jacobs. In the triumphal procession are visible several other Belgian flags.
