Mr. and Mrs. de St Julien Pair of oval miniatures (traces of signature on one). 33 x 30 mm. Presented on velvet-covered hanging frames with gilt brass motifs engraved with the names of the subjects. A.B.E. Mr. François David de Saint-Julien (1720-1788) was the general receiver of the clergy of France. His portrait by Carmontelle is kept in the collections of the Chantilly castle. His wife Anne-Madeleine-Louise-Charlotte de la Tour du Pin (1729-1820) was a friend of Voltaire.
