A Chinese celadon porcelain baluster vase of the Qianlong period (1736-1795), the chased and gilt bronze frame decorated with scrolls, acanthus leaves, rocaille and oak leaves in the style of Jean Claude Duplessis Louis XV period. H. : 35cm. (a slight damage to the porcelain) Our vase illustrates the attraction for the Far East and the creativity of the Mercier merchants who set in precious gilt bronze mounts beautiful porcelains from China.
